We take our ability to perform our daily activities for granted. But what happens if that changes, especially as we age?
Long term care insurance provides an income style benefit if you are unable to take care of yourself due to aging, an accident, illness or deteriorating mental abilities.
When you purchase the policy, you decide on the monthly benefit it will pay, the waiting period before it starts and the length of time it pays.
If you are eligible, based on the definition of ‘disability’, the policy insurance will pay the benefit you chose.
